Description of project:
The courtyard retaining wall with pillars surrounds and stabilizes a concrete patio. The top of the pillars are capped with flagstone. The lower paver patio is wrapped with a curved retaining wall, which also serves as a sitting wall. The steps were constructed with retaining wall block and lead to the upper paver patio.
Material used: Allan Block AB Europa (Abby Blend) for the tiered retaining walls and sitting wall. Allan Block Italian Renaissance was used for the paver patios

Description of project:
We built a number of retaining walls, both landscape and structural, for the Keystone assisted living facility in Westminster.

Description of project:
This retaining wall was built for a residence to flatten out the side yard and create additional room for the owner to park his camper. This wall required engineering, because it needs to hold up under the weight of the camper.
Materials used: Allan Block AB Collection (Classics) Red Blend retaining wall block.

Description of project:
This stairway was installed in order to allow access to the back of a house. The steps were constructed using retaining wall block, while the landings use pavers.
Materials used: Allan Block AB Collection (Classics) Grey Blend retaining wall block for steps and retaining wall.Basalite Country Cobble for pavers.

This retaining wall was built to enclose a future concerete patio in the back of a house. The steps lead down into to the backyard and are framed by pillars made with Courtyard blocks.

The AB Europa block used in this project is tumbled, giving it the look of natural stone. Retaining wall block of four different sizes are used to create this pattern, called Abbey Blend. This is a custom color using the standard gray blend with gold flash added to it.

River rock adds visual interest to the landscape and is used to assist in drainage and erosion control.

Since it is supporting a driveway and needs to hold up under the weight of vehicles driving and parking on it, this retaining wall needed to be engineered before it could be built.

The combination of the Grey Blend and Tan Blend colors of AB Europa block (AB Dover, AB Palermo, AB Barcelona, and AB Bordeaux) add a colorful contrast to the paved driveway.
